Scapers meet again

1st General Assembly

SCAPE celebrated the first 6 months of the project with a two-day virtual General Assembly, led by our project coordinator, Àlber Filbà Martínez from IREC - Institut de Recerca en Energia de Catalunya.

It was a fruitful moment to connect with fellow partners and share updates on respective activities and niches.

Progress Report

The good news is that we are on track:
AVL in Türkiye Research and Engineering and AVL have created the templates and methodology to define the project requirements and test cases;
Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya is underway with the preliminary definition of the #powertrain architectures, including setting of candidate topologies for the integrated #inverter/charger and selecting the HV SC power switch candidates (among those available, as shortage is always looming);
Institut de Microelectrònica de Barcelona (IMB-CNM, CSIC) has started a promising partnership with a chip-embedding manufacturer, while DEEP Concept is looking at multiphysics simulation and modelling of the integrated switching cells;
Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia has kicked-off with the advanced control and prognostic health management activities, with the support of TEKNE srl and IREC, who is also leading tasks tied to powertrain implementation and digitaltwins;
ISINNOVA has successfully set up SCAPE’s communication and dissemination channels (and strategies) while Bax & Company is proactive in exploring routes to market, in collaboration with all partners, and supporting any patenting processes.

On we go

We have all charged up and are ready to power the next six months of the project, taking on board the insights collected during our first General Assembly and consolidating our collaboration while we synchronise our effort and activities

The bad news is that climatechange is unrelenting! Alternative and less polluting transport solutions must be high on everyone's agenda to contribute to the success of the Eu Green Deal !

Our motivation to work towards boosting electrification in transport by exploring modular, scalable, and cost-effective designs of powerconverters for EV application is even greater.
